With so many great British institutions to choose as an icon of kitsch, there was considerable deliberation about which British tourist attraction should be crowned a kitsch wonder of the World. However, a clear winner soon became evident.
A rather unassuming building (pictured above) reveals little of the kitsch delights contained within. The Teapottery in the Lake District, UK, is a haven for every conceivable teapot design.
The Teapottery in Keswick, Lake District, UK, boasts that "Your afternoon teatime will never be the same again after your first Teapottery experience." And, an experience it truly is - with over 100 designs from which to choose, there is a novelty kitsch tea pot of every conceivable design. Given the scope of the designs at this kitsch haven, it is not possible to describe the entire collection, but below are a selection of the World of Kitsch teams favourites. News Just In: A recent visit to the Teapottery in Keswick by the World of Kitsch Team, revealed that it's number is up! The building is relocating within Keswick. We wish the Teapottery luck that it does not go the way of the ancient wonders of the World.
