It is with great sadness that I introduce this month's editorial. The end of Steps is the end of an era!

Although I have been quoted in one article joking that "I did wager a small sum of money at the Sheffield arena concert that the group would not be around after Christmas", I can assure readers that I feel great remorse for my comments. Steps were one of the great kitsch bands of our time...and I promise no more cutting remarks about lesser bands - down with Hear'say!

On a lighter note, this month sees the completion of our new site. With most of the Virtual Scaffolding out of the way, it is time to bid a fond farewell to the good people at Tripod who have hosted our site for so many years. We are all now hoping that we can make a success of our marvellous new site and I thank everyone who has contacted us with their kind comments over the past few months.

Now, if you could just cast your minds back a couple of years, can any regular readers remember the Kitsch web ring which we used to host? Sadly this was lost in the move, but we would like to restore it! If you were a member or wish to submit your site, we are trying to gauge the level of interest. Please read this article...

All that is left for me to say, is I hope you had a Merry Christmas and wish you all a peaceful and productive new year.
