Bob Holness

Bob Holness presented the student TV show Blockbusters for many years and later went on to present the property gameshow Raise The Roof. Also, a little known fact, the voice of James Bond in the original radio series.

Bob Holness was the quizmaster in the classic student gameshow "Blockbusters". Two teams would compete to try and make a row of letters across the board (below) by answering questions associated with the letter picked. The ITV show was axed and Bob went on to present the BBC property gameshow "Raise the Roof". Blockbusters is now back on daytime tv, being broadcast on Sky.

The aim of Blockbusters was to create a line of squares across the board, by answering a question based on the letter in the block.
