Jimmy Savile
Recently knighted, Sir James Savile has achieved cult kitsch status over many years of presenting popular television programmes including Top of The Pops and Jim'll Fix It.
Affectionately known as "Jimmy", Sir James Savile presented popular seventies and eighties Children's TV show "Jim'll Fix It". Jim was renowned for his generosity and spirit as well as his dubious dress sense. Acting like an uncle to many children, Jim would "fix" anything which was asked of him, presenting the lucky child with a special silver badge.

With the introduction of Politically Correct television, Jimmy dropped his trademark cigar from his appearances on Jim'll Fix It - How many kids took up the habit as a result of the show? - and in the late eighties, the show was unfortunately axed to make way for the tv trite of Challenge Aneka.

Despite this, Jimmy still makes regular tv appearances and even though he is now nearly 80, still regularly runs the London Marathon for charity . . . incredible!
